Concept render: a Smithy site of timber-clad pods around a gravel courtyard at sunset, with a village church behind

Gym & recovery pods

Strength and recovery, five minutes from home.

Smithy puts private, bookable gyms and sauna + cold-plunge units in the places big gyms never reach: villages, small towns and local communities.

Smithy at a glance

A network of small, unstaffed sites. Each one is booked, unlocked and coached through one app.

1–4people per private booking. No crowds, no queues for kit.
~450 m²of ground for a full site of two gym pods and a recovery unit
£40–45kto open a pilot site, built by our own team
4,000people within ten minutes is enough to support a site

What we build

Coaching

Coached by video, written for the kit in front of you.

A rehab-trained coach writes the programmes and records every exercise. The wall screen plays your session, and the app tracks your progress.

About coaching

Our mission

To put a great gym within five minutes of everyone.

A big gym needs tens of thousands of people nearby to pay its way. A Smithy site needs about four thousand, so it can go where people actually live.

Business plan completed

Costs, sourcing, planning, risk and a five-step roll-out with a go/no-go gate at each stage.

Member and coach apps prototyped

Booking, onboarding, personal plans with exercise videos, a session player and the coach’s dashboard are all working.

First community survey

We’re asking residents and local councils whether they’d use a site before we build anything.
